Interstate 95 in Connecticut faced a major disruption as a tractor-trailer carrying thousands of gallons of gasoline exploded into a massive inferno in Norwalk, leading to the closure of a busy portion of the highway. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, resulting in emergency crews working tirelessly to manage the aftermath.

The crash, which involved one or more trucks and another vehicle, caused a massive fire on I-95 southbound under an overpass in the area of exits 15 and 16. Despite the intensity of the blaze, fortunately, there were no serious injuries reported. However, the subsequent increase in other crashes added to the chaos on the highway.
