Tanguy Ndombele sends playful warning to Yves Bissouma after Tottenham training masterclass

Tottenham fans will be hoping to see a lot more of Yves Bissouma on Saturday evening as Antonio Conte's men play their final pre-season friendly of the summer. Unbeaten so far with wins over Team K League and Rangers and a draw against Sevilla, Spurs now face a very tricky test against Jose Mourinho's Roma.

Fielding near enough the side that finished last season in fourth at Rangers last weekend, Conte is expected to go very strong once again with the new Premier League campaign only one week away. New addition Bissouma made his Tottenham debut in the 2-1 win at Ibrox, having missed out in both games on their tour of South Korea due to Covid.

The Mali international will be hoping a starting spot against the Giallorossi comes his way, especially as he could really do with the pitch time after only playing 45 minutes for the club so far. Ahead of the friendly in Israel, Bissouma was spotted putting in the work on the training ground by practising his free-kicks.

Uploading a video to his Instagram account, the ex-Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder scored four free-kicks in a row, finding the corner with three of them before his final effort went in off the underside of the crossbar. The 25-year-old isn't known for his goalscoring ability but he did previously net a free-kick for Lille against Toulouse during the 2017/18 campaign.

So have Tottenham found a new man to take free-kicks this season? Well, apparently not if you ask Tanguy Ndombele. Taking to his Instagram Stories, the midfielder had a joke with Bissouma and made it clear that Harry Kane will still be Tottenham's free-kick taker.

"It's my number 10 who shoots so leave it. But well played," joked the Frenchman as he commented on the reel of Bissouma's free-kicks that he added to his own Instagram stories.

Ndombele himself is not currently with the Tottenham first-team squad in Israel as he is not in Conte's plans for the new campaign. Also absent in the three previous games, the head coach issued an update on the French international, Giovani Lo Celso, Sergio Reguilon and Harry Winks when asked by football.london at his pre-match press conference.

"I think that we spoke with the club and the players are informed about the plans for the next season," explained the boss. "We are talking about really good players and the club and I, we think they deserve to play games regularly. For this reason these players are not here."
