Plenty of Tottenham Hotspur players have been saying their goodbyes to their loan clubs this week but some have an exciting set of matches ahead.
Spurs had 11 loan players out on loan at sides in England, Scotland, France, Spain and Sweden during this second half of the season. Last week Kacper Kurylowicz said his farewell to non-league side Potters Bar Town and others have also now come to the conclusion of their loan deals in recent days.
Some of the young players had been sent out to get experience of the senior game, some to get more minutes under their belts and others to thrust them into the shop window ahead of needed summer moves and now some will return with either promotion or heartbreak to their name. Here's how the group of Spurs loanees got on over the past week.

Tanguy Ndombele (Lyon)
Ndombele was back among the substitutes having missed three Ligue 1 matches in a row due to injury, and he got 21 minutes from the bench as Lyon won 3-0 at second-placed Marseille on Sunday. The 25-year-old Frenchman did his bit from the bench, making two clearances and blocking one Marseille shot and Lyon's second and third goals did come after his arrival.
Ndombele has played 12 times for Lyon since joining on loan on January transfer deadline day with one goal and two assists to his name and he will now hope to help the club secure a European spot for next season in their final three matches.
Giovani Lo Celso (Villarreal)
Lo Celso grabbed an assist as Villarreal returned to La Liga action at Deportivo on Saturday, coming off the bench at half-time and setting up Samuel Chukwueze within two minutes. It would not prove enough though as the hosts' two first-half goals took them to all three points.
The defeat followed on from Lo Celso's 90 minutes as Villarreal slipped to a 2-0 defeat at Liverpool on Wednesday night in their Champions League semi-final first leg.
Villarreal have already knocked Juventus and Bayern Munich out of the Champions League and will be hoping to repeat the trick against Jurgen Klopp's side with a remarkable turnaround in Spain on Tuesday night.
Lo Celso has made 17 appearances for Emery's team since his deadline day switch from Tottenham.
Bryan Gil (Valencia)
Following heartbreak for Gil in the Copa del Rey final on penalties against Real Betis last weekend, the 21-year-old got just a single minute from the bench in La Liga at the weekend.
Gil had been struggling with a hip injury in recent weeks and that may have played a part in his single minute of normal time at the end of Valencia's 1-1 draw at home against Levante.
Despite that brief cameo, Gil has played a big part for the 10th-placed Spanish side with 14 appearances, registering one assist since his switch from Tottenham and the Valencia fans have chanted for him to stay longer.
Pape Matar Sarr (Metz)
Sarr more than played his part as Metz just about kept themselves in the fight to remain in Ligue 1 with a 2-2 draw at Montpellier.
The 19-year-old battled away for the full 90 minutes, earning himself a yellow card and a 7.03 rating from WhoScored for his performance.
The teenager had three shots on goal from midfield, one on target, made two dribbles and had an 83.3% pass success rate from his 30 passes. He also made four tackles, two interceptions and one clearance.
The point means that with three games left to play this season, Ligue 1's bottom side Metz are eight points behind 17th-placed Clermont and six behind 18th-placed St Etienne in the relegation play-off spot.
Sarr will come up against a fellow Tottenham player on Sunday in Tanguy Ndombele as Metz host Lyon in the lunchtime kick-off.
Sarr has played 31 times for the French strugglers this season and he will look to show Tottenham what he's about when he arrives in N17 this summer, hardened by his experiences this year.
Cameron Carter-Vickers (Celtic)
Carter-Vickers was back in Old Firm Derby action at the weekend as Celtic drew 1-1 at home against Rangers and maintained their six-point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership.
The 24-year-old played the full 90 minutes yet again and earned himself a seven in the Scottish Daily Express player ratings with the review: "A strong performance but did have issues with Sakala, cleared up some potentially nervy moments."
Carter-Vickers' loan spell has been a big success and Celtic are expected to take up the option to buy him, which football.london understands is around £6million up front with potential add-ons that could make it £10million in all eventually. However, the centre-back has also been interesting a growing number of Premier League clubs and he could be set to have a decision to make this summer.
The 24-year-old has four goals and one assist from his 41 games in all competitions for Celtic so far in this major campaign in his career.
Troy Parrott (MK Dons)
Troy Parrott got another 90 minutes under his belt as MK Dons missed out on automatic promotion from League One despite their 5-0 win at Plymouth Argyle.
The 20-year-old Irishman earned a 7.5 in the MK Citizen's player ratings with the write-up: "Didn't get as many chances as he would have liked but came close with an excellently taken volley in the first half. Tripped at the key moment when one-on-one in the second."
Parrott will now face the experience of play-offs with a semi-final first leg at Wycombe on Thursday night and the second leg back at Milton Keynes on Sunday. The young striker did score against Wanderers earlier in the season.
Parrott has played 45 times this season for MK Dons and scored nine goals and provided seven assists in a productive loan spell.
Jack Clarke (Sunderland)
Rotherham fans might just feel that Clarke played a part in costing them the League One title. In the 88th minute of Sunderland's match against The Millers last Tuesday night, the 21-year-old, who had come off the bench with half an hour to go, whipped in a deep dangerous cross that Michael Ihiekwe could only head into his own net for the home side's equaliser, having earlier put his team in front in the first half.
Clarke then played 64 minutes of the 1-0 win at Morecambe that sealed Sunderland's place in the League One play-offs, where they will play Sheffield Wednesday at home on Friday and then away on Monday night, with the youngster set to take part.
The Spurs winger has played 17 matches for the sixth-placed League One side, scoring once and providing two assists as they look to find a route back to the Championship.
Kion Etete (Cheltenham Town)
Etete's time at Cheltenham Town came to a close this week and although he was not involved in their final match, a 2-2 draw at Cambridge United, he got a chance to say his farewell to the fans on Instagram.
"Been an absolute pleasure to play here I’d like to thank all the fans, staff and players, you’ve been incredible wishing you all the best for the future," he posted.
Last week Cheltenham boss Michael Duff had spoken about Etete's loan and what the future holds for him when talking about his loan players as a group.
"I think they'll all have good careers. At what level? It's not easy. It's easy to be at a Premier League club, but staying at a Premier League club is the difficult bit," he was quoted as saying by Gloucestershire Live. "They have all come in and I don't know whether it's luck or not, but we have signed good characters. There is no edge to them. They are coming from completely different backgrounds. They are coming from Disneyland.
"Kion has come from Tottenham's training ground and it's like NASA Space Centre. The pitches are perfect, you have a member of staff to pour their tea, one to pour their milk and another to put in the sugar. There are staff everywhere so when they come into this environment it's a bit alien to them, but they have all bought in, which is key.
"They have done and that tells you about the culture within the training ground because the worst thing you can have is asking a player to do something and they say 'we don't do that at my club' - well, you're not at that club. They are here to learn different experiences, styles of football and formations. They have all been brilliant."
Etete played 13 times for League One side Cheltenham, scoring three goals and laying on three assists, following the first half of the season when he was on loan in League Two at Northampton, netting six goals and providing two assists in his 23 games.
Nile John (Charlton Athletic)
John's loan move to Charlton ended in predictable fashion without a place in the matchday squad to close a disappointing time away from the club without a single minute of first team football.
Spurs will not have been impressed with a loan that has barely been worth it, other than for the 19-year-old to experience what life is like inside a League One club.
John was back playing U23s football for Spurs on Monday with 90 minutes in the 0-0 draw with Brighton at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Alfie Whiteman (Degerfors)
The 23-year-old goalkeeper is yet to taste victory in the league this season as Degerfors made it six consecutive defeats to start the Swedish Allsvenskan season. Whiteman had to pick the ball out of his net six times in the 6-0 defeat at home to Elfsborg.
Whiteman did his part in keeping Degerfors in the Swedish top flight last season and will be hoping to get them back on track again during this campaign. Spurs do also have the option to recall him as part of the loan agreement if they were to need him back.
