Tanguy Ndombele joy, Destiny Udogie assist, Bryan Gil scores but Djed Spence frustration

There was joy and frustration for Tottenham's loan players as their seasons start to come to a close across England and the continent.

Spurs' campaign has been an inconsistent one and that has been the same for many of their 11 players currently out on loan across England, Spain, Italy and France. Now with seasons coming to an end in England's lower tiers and the final picture becoming clear across Europe at the top and bottom of leagues, the loans players are starting to find out how they will remember their spells away.

So how exactly are Tottenham's 11 loanees currently getting on? football.london takes a look below.

Tanguy Ndombele (Napoli)

Tanguy Ndombele has joined the ever-lengthening list of Tottenham players who have left the club and won silverware.

The 26-year-old started for Napoli as they secured the Serie A title on Thursday night with a 1-1 draw at Udinese, sparking wild celebrations across the city of Naples as they clinched their first Scudetto in 33 years.

On Sunday, Ndombele was an unused substitute for the first time since August as Napoli beat Fiorentina 1-0 at home but he has made 40 appearances for the Italian champions this season and will have a title winner's medal on his CV when his loan ends this summer.

Destiny Udogie (Udinese)

Destiny Udogie grabbed an assist as Udinese threatened to spoil the party for Ndombele's Napoli on Thursday night.

Just 12 minutes in and the Italy U21 international broke into the left side of the Napoli box and played the ball inside to Sandi Lovric to curl an effort into the top right corner.

Udinese could not hold on for the win but they played again on Monday evening against Harry Winks' Sampdoria and won 2-0. In a rare substitute appearance rather than being in the starting line-up, Udogie came on for the final 12 minutes.

Udogie has played 31 times for Udinese this season with 2,566 minutes to his name and three goals and four assists from left wing-back ahead of his arrival at Tottenham this summer.

Harry Winks (Sampdoria)

Harry Winks' Sampdora side were finally relegated from Serie A on Monday after their 2-0 defeat at Udogie's Udinese.

Propping up the table, the Genoa-based club, who have big financial problems, are now 13 points adrift of safety with four games remaining.

Winks continued his run of starts since the turn of the year as he played in both the 2-0 home defeat at the hands of Torino on Wednesday and then the game at Udinese, getting 89 minutes in the latter before coming off.

Djed Spence and Joe Rodon (Rennes)

Djed Spence has gone from regular starter to unused substitute to now sitting out of the matchday squad at Rennes as manager Bruno Genesio has shown a preference for the club's permanent players rather than loan signings.

The 22-year-old had been a regular in the team to begin with following his January loan move from Tottenham, but his game time reduced dramatically over the past month following Hamari Traore's return from injury. Now another right-back Lorenz Assignon has returned to the squad for the first time since January following a serious injury and Spence has found himself out of the matchday squad twice in a row, including Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Nice.

His Spurs team-mate Joe Rodon at least got on the bench but was an unused substitute in the defeat.

Bryan Gil (Sevilla)

Bryan Gil got on the scoresheet as Sevilla overcame Espanyol 3-2 at home on Thursday evening in La Liga.

The 22-year-old opened the scoring midway through the first half with a close range finish after a loose ball fell his way in the box. The goal was initially ruled out for offside but the VAR team told the referee to look at his monitor and the last touch came from an Espanyol defender before it reached Gil.

Sevilla and Gil's next match is a big one as they travel to Italy on Thursday for the first leg of their Europa League semi-final against Juventus.

Gil has two goals and two assists now in 14 La Liga appearances for the Spanish side.

Giovani Lo Celso (Villarreal)

Giovani Lo Celso's fine form, with three assists in five matches, was paused on Wednesday night as he sat out Villarreal's 1-1 draw at Valencia.

Lo Celso had left the game at half-time in the previous match, a 3-1 home win against Celta Vigo.

After such a frustrating first half of the term, with injury stopping him from featuring in Argentina's successful World Cup campaign, Giovani Lo Celso has been making up for lost time in what remains of the season with a string of good performances that have sparked plenty of reports of interest in his services.

Villarreal are fifth, seven points off fourth-placed Real Sociedad, with five matches to go in La Liga.

Sergio Reguilon (Atletico Madrid)

Sergio Reguilon got 18 rare minutes to his name from the bench as Atletico swept past Cadiz 5-1 on Wednesday.

Only making seven appearances in total for Atleti in what has been a nightmare season for the player since leaving Tottenham on loan due to injuries and illness, Reguilon will be hoping that a few more opportunities come his way in the final matches of the La Liga season.

Troy Parrott (Preston North End)

Troy Parrott's spell at Preston came to an end on Monday afternoon with 56 minutes as his side lost 3-0 at home to Sunderland, who grabbed the last play-off spot in the Championship.

Preston's own play-off dreams had come to an end the previous weekend following a 4-1 defeat away at Sheffield United. They had put themselves in a good position in recent weeks, but the Lancashire club failed to win their any of their next four league games and that put an end to their promotion aspirations.

Parrott got one of the higher ratings in Lancashire Live's report after Monday's game with a six and the review: "Made way after the opening goal. Operated in behind the front two and was busy in that No.10 role."

The 21-year-old Republic of Ireland international's season at Preston brought 34 appearances and four goals.

Harvey White (Derby)

Harvey White and Derby's play-off hopes fell agonisingly short on Sunday despite seeming to be in pole position to secure the final spot in League One.

They lost 1-0 at Sheffield Wednesday with the young Tottenham midfielder coming on for the final 16 minutes.

The Derby Telegraph handed White a five in their player ratings with the simple review of "couple of neat touches".

White got 15 appearances under his belt at Derby after arriving at the end of January.

Dane Scarlett (Portsmouth)

Dane Scarlett ended his frustrating final few months at Portsmouth in a now familiar fashion, as an unused substitute as they drew 2-2 at home against Wycombe.

The arrival of new boss John Mousinho during the season ended the 19-year-old's hopes of regular football as he never really gave him the opportunities after he had been a regular under Danny Cowley.

In all, Scarlett scored six goals and laid on two assists from his 40 appearances in all competitions for Portsmouth and it will still have been a season of learning for the young striker.
