CHENNAI: The Kovilpatti all-woman police in Tamil Nadu on Saturday arrested the headmaster of a government aided primary school for sexually harassing nine girl students for the last three months. The incident came to light when a parent of a girl lodged a police complaint on Friday.
The headmaster, A Thomas Samuel, 57, was booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
The man, from Chinnakollapatti village near Sattur in Virudhunagar district, is the headmaster of a government-aided primary school run by a church in a village in Tuticorin district.
He was remanded in judicial custody.
