CHENNAI: Chief minister M K Stalin advised the officials to replicate good practices, implemented in other parts of the country, to benefit the people of the state.
"The officials should adopt new strategies and replicate good practices that benefit the people of the state. If officials take such measures, the government will encourage them," the CM told the officials while chairing a review meeting on government schemes for the second consecutive day.
After overcoming the tough situation due to the pandemic, this government is stepping on to the second year. It has announced several schemes to take the state in the path of development. "Of them, some of the schemes have been implemented in an efficient manner. For that, I want to thank you all (official) first," said Stalin.
Meanwhile, as there were delay in executing the schemes in some of the departments, the officials concerned should weed out the root cause for the problems and issue orders to implement schemes, he said, adding,
"The officials in each department should well be aware about their targeted population and implement the schemes to benefit them to the optimum level."
Stalin emphasised on his dream project - 'Naan Mudhalvan' - and asked the officials to expand the project to ensure employment opportunities for the youngsters in the state.
He also emphasised the importance of schemes implemented through panchayat raj and rural development department, and other departments that work among rural population.
