CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu chief minister MK Stalin on Monday held a second review meeting with secretaries of 14 departments on the DMK government’s iconic projects, emphasising coordination among the departments for the implementation of projects.
Other departments should give necessary permission, avoid unnecessary questions and pave the way to move forward, he said.
Asserting that projects were not conceived for remaining on paper, Stalin told the bureaucrats to review the projects continuously, implement them in time and ensure seamless administration.
"It is good to see progress in several schemes in various departments. Such activities would usher in the golden era. We are working towards creating the foundation for such a golden era," the chief minister said. They were not just priority projects but would further enhance the pride of Tamil Nadu, and hence should be strictly monitored, and delay avoided.
He reminded the officials to get advice from expert committees that had been set up to evolve projects and give directions for implementation. The bureaucrats should avail the funds provided for the project fully based on the progress and speed up the work.
"I hope to see significant progress in the next meeting in two months," the CM said.
