CHENNAI: Nearly two months since the Tamil Nadu government's announcement of constituting a panel to frame the State Education Policy (SEP), the committee is yet to start the process of evolving an alternative to the National Education Policy (NEP).
After opposing the key features of NE, like three-language formula, entrance test for all undergraduate courses, chief minister M K Stalin on April 5 said that a 13-member panel headed by former chief justice of Delhi high court Justice D Murugesan would evolve the state's own education policy. The panel was given one year to submit its recommendations.
