It's nearly that time of year when the autumn sky will be brightened up by fireworks all across the country.
Bonfire Night falls on Saturday, November 5 this year with a number of planned events due to take place. While many council all across Greater Manchester are cancelling their displays this year, there are still a number of independent events taking place across Tameside.
Bonfire Night is celebrated every year in commemoration of the failed gunpowder plot which sought to blow up the House of Lords and King James I in 1605. The plot was famously initiated by Guy Fawkes, which is why some people refer to the holiday as Guy Fawkes Night.
