An image of Mojtaba Khamenei, who was appointed as the new Supreme Leader of Iran following the death of his father, Ali Khamenei is displayed in Times Square in New York on April 8, 2026. Israel's Foreign Ministry shared a video showing a stark message aimed at Iran's new leadership: "Khamenei 2.0: New generation, same terror regime, still evil." (Credit: TIMOTHY A.
