Deliveroo reports the average order size is shrinking
(Picture: PA)Did somebody say just eat… a bit less? Deliveroo says the average order placed by its customers is 3% smaller than it was. Rival takeaway app Just Eat reported similar customer behaviour a week ago.
Deliveroo boss Will Shu told the Standard: “People are [still] ordering but they might order a cheaper item on the menu or maybe not order any drinks.”
