A team of talented young Edinburgh dancers are jetting off to Portugal to compete in the prestigious Dance World Cup.
27 dancers, aged between 10 and 17, will compete against fellow top performers from across the globe in the biggest dance competition in the world.
The all-female Morningside Dance Academy team will be among 7,500 hopeful acts looking to place at the event, taking place in Braga between June 30 and July 8.
The group are competing in 19 dances - including solos, duets, trios, small groups and large groups in all genres. All the dances have been choreographed by MDA teachers Laura Proudfoot and Kirsty Taylor.
The event marks the third time the team has competed at the DWC. Last time in 2019, MDA came home with a silver and a bronze medal.
Kirsty Taylor said: "The dancers have been rehearsing non stop since we found out we had qualified back in December and the girls are all really excited to be representing Scotland at such a prestigious event.
"We leave next week and the girls are so excited. They have been working extremely hard, and Laura and I are very proud of them. Representing your country is a great honour and we hope to do Scotland proud!”
