Takeaways, highlights from first half of Eagles’ Week 5 matchup vs. Rams

The Eagles jumped out to an early 7-0 lead and used timely throws from Jalen Hurts and a revival of Dallas Goedert to take a 17-14 lead into the locker room at the half.

The Rams ran 33 offensive plays, and logged 185 total yards in the first half, as Los Angeles was dominant through the air.

Kelce has the second most games started streak going in the NFL.

In Weeks 1-4: Goedert had 13 catches, for 88 total yards.

In the first drive from SoFi Stadium, Goedert had four catches for 45 yards and a touchdown.

Eagles slot defense

Cooper Kupp returned to the lineup and feasted in the slot on a combination of Eli Ricks, Mario Goodrich, and Nicholas Morrow.

Philadelphia will have to adjust.

Kupp finished the first half with six catches for 95 yards.

Rams early third down success

The Rams were 4/5 on third down before an early drop by Nacua.

In all, Los Angeles finished the first half 5-7 on third downs.

Nacua has three catches for 34 yards and 1 touchdown on 5 targets.

Hurts has 50 yards rushing in the first half and a rushing touchdown.
