When NFL Network NFL draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah did his pre-combine draft conference call, he offered up his insights on the offensive tackle position in the 2024 NFL draft. Jeremiah is correct in his assertion that this is a very diverse group and how you rank this class has as much to do with what your team is looking for in an offensive tackle as anything else. Here is how Jeremiah’s ranking of the top offensive tackles breaks down.
1 -Notre Dame - Joe Alt
2 - Olu Fashanu - Penn state
3 - Oregon State - Taliese Fuaga
4 - JC Latham - Alabama
5 - Troy Fautanu - Washington
6 - Tyler Guyton - Oklahoma
7 - Amarius Mims - Georgia
Takeaways
There are no big surprises in Jeremiah’s rankings but for us, we have Fuaga ahead of Fahsanu and Mims ahead of Guyton on our own rankings. Another name that isn’t on this list is Duke’s Graham Barton, who is one of our favorite prospects. His potential at guard or center might be why Jeremiah excluded him but the same can be said for Fautanu who is most likely a guard in the NFL.
