Take That have reunited after being away from the spotlight for four years to begin writing their next album, much to the delight of their legion of fans.
Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald are set to play their first comeback gig at British Summertime Festival (BST) in London's Hyde Park on 1 July next year supported by The Script and Sugababes, which will be their first performance together since 2019. They are set to embark on a full tour once their new album is released - and 2023 is a great time to be a Take That fan, with a movie also coming out next year, The Mirror reports.
Speaking to Zoe Ball on her Radio 2 breakfast show, lead singer Gary announced: "We have started a little bit of writing, but we’re not really due to officially start until the new year. Hopefully [there’ll be an album out] next year, but we’ve got to write some hits!"

The upcoming studio album will be Take That's ninth, and the third that the band has released as their current trio following the departures of Robbie Williams and Jason Orange. The last album, Wonderland, was released in March 2017 and features hits such as Giants and New Day.
The new film, entitled Greatest Days, is being released in May 2023 to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the band's first ever number one single Pray. Based on the Take That musical, the film follows five best friends who have their lives changed forever at a concert by their favourite boy band, and reunite 25 years later to reminisce on their memories.
Their appearance at BST next summer will mark the first time that Take That have performed at the show since 2016 - tickers are on sale now. The tour that the band have teased alongside their new album will be their first since 2019, when they completed their Greatest Hits Live tour as a trio.
