BHUBANESWAR: Asian Games champion and Asian record holder Tajinderpal Singh Toor went past the 20m mark for the first time this season as he won the gold in men's shot put at the Federation Senior National Athletics Championship here on Tuesday.
Toor, who fouled four of his six attempts, had a best of 20.38m after he opened with a heave of 20.14m. "It has been a tough period for me. I was facing several problems including a few personal ones. So I'm satisfied with this performance today. I need to get better to improve on this," Toor said.
