Reports of preliminary damage are emerging following a 7.4 magnitude earthquake in Taiwan. The earthquake has resulted in tilted houses and damage in Hualien County, according to Taiwan's Defense Ministry.
In response to the disaster, military troops have been dispatched for disaster relief efforts to minimize further damage. Schools and work have been suspended in the affected areas due to the ongoing aftershocks.
