Tadhg Beirne and Craig Casey are the latest Ireland injury scares ahead of the Autumn Series.
Andy Farrell's squad will face world champs South Africa at the Aviva Stadium on November 5 before clashes with Fiji (November 12) and Australia (November 19) at the Lansdowne Road venue.
Farrell is expected to reveal his squad for the Springboks clash tomorrow but it looks as if he will have a lot of sweating to do before the first meeting of the sides since Ireland's 38-3 hammering of the Boks in November 2017.

Munster have revealed that Beirne and Casey suffered groin injuries in last Saturday's impressive bonus point victory over the Bulls at Thomond Park and will need scans before their availability for Saturday's clash with Leinster is determined.
Versatile forward Beirne, who started in the back row on Saturday, was outstanding on Ireland's tour of New Zealand in June, while Casey was pushing for a start against the Springboks as Ireland's first choice scrum-half, Leinster's Jamison Gibson-Park, rehabs a calf issue.
Experienced back three players Keith Earls (thigh) and Andrew Conway (knee) remain sidelined, with no return date as yet provided by the province.
Leinster senior coach Stuart Lancaster claims that Gibson-Park, Hugo Keenan and James Lowe are "very close" to a return, but they face a race against time to be fit for the Boks encounter.
Already out are another Leinster trio, with Will Connors (12 weeks) and Rónan Kelleher and Harry Byrne (both eight weeks) sidelined.
Connacht's Bundee Aki is ruled out of the first two Tests due to suspension.
Meanwhile, the Boks have named their training camp for the Autumn series and it includes 17 South African-based players and nine who are currently playing in Japan.
“We are departing for the year-end tour next week Saturday, so it is vital that we get the players back into our structures and our usual training programme so that they are raring to go by the time we depart for Ireland,” said Jacques Nienaber.
“There are some players who didn’t get much game time in the Castle Lager Rugby Championship and who will benefit immensely from the additional game time next week in the Vodacom United Rugby Championship, while it is important for the Japanese-based players to get back to national training.
“It may be a short camp, but we have clear objectives, and we know what boxes we need to tick as we look forward to what is going to be a challenging year-end tour.
“We are facing the No 1 and No 2 teams in the world in Ireland and France, and then we line up against Italy and England, both of whom will test us to the limit, so the sooner we get into the swing of things, the better.”
The England and France-based players in the touring squad will be released to their respective clubs following the Italy Test.
