Taco Bell worker power slams 'aggressive' customer to floor after he swings for him

A Taco Bell worker was filmed slamming an 'aggressive' customer to the floor after he swung for him.

Shocking video footage taken from inside the Swansea branch of the fast food restaurant on Monday, March 14, shows a man appearing to act aggressively and shouting at employees, while another man attempts to restrain him.

He pulls delivery bags off a nearby table before running towards the staff member and appearing to aim a punch at him, reports Wales Online.

However, the Taco Bell worker anticipates the attack, and picks the man up over his shoulder before the attack can land.

The man then falls onto the floor head first in front of horrified customers.

After hitting the ground, the man is seen lying motionless on the restaurant floor.

The man who earlier appeared to be restraining the customer shouts: "What are you doing? What are you doing? Call the police."

There are gasps from shocked onlookers as the injured man is rolled onto his back and blood is seen streaming from his head and onto the restaurant floor. Police were called to the incident at about 9.20pm on Monday but the men involved had left the restaurant on Oxford Street before officers arrived.

The Welsh Ambulance Service said paramedics attended the scene shortly before 9pm on Monday in one emergency ambulance. However, paramedics were said not to be required.

Taco Bell confirmed that it was aware of the incident, and that no further action would be taken against the employee.

A spokesperson for the restaurant chain said: "We are aware of the incident that recently occurred in our Swansea restaurant. The restaurant franchisee has fully cooperated with the police and no further action will be taken.

"We take the safety and wellbeing of our team and customers very seriously and do not tolerate any form of abuse in our restaurants and wider business."

A South Wales Police spokesperson said: "South Wales Police was called just before 9.20pm yesterday evening, Monday March 14, following reports of an altercation in Taco Bell on Oxford Street, Swansea.

"Two men had left the premises prior to officers attending. There have been no complaints forthcoming to date and no arrests."

Paramedics were also called to the restaurant, but were stood down on arrival, with a spokesperson for the Welsh Ambulance Service adding: "We were called at 20:56hrs yesterday evening, 14 March, to an incident at Taco Bell in Swansea.

"We sent one emergency ambulance to the scene, but on arrival were not required.”
