Taangh, hockey Olympian Nandy Singh’s story reminisces old unhealed wounds

BATHINDA: Emotions run high when a daughter turns into a filmmaker to document not only the moments describing the achievements of her father but connect the dots separated seven decades ago by travelling across the Radcliffe line. Indian Hockey Olympian Grahnandan 'Nandy' Singh' daughter Bani Singh while venturing into the life of her father, happens to feel the pain of partition which still rankle in the sub continent even after over seven and half decades.

She opened up in a zoom meeting organised by South Asia Peace Action Network (SAPAN) while narrating a lot she experienced while preparing 90 minutes documentary Taangh (Longing) featuring her father, who was part of Indian Hockey Team that won Gold Medals in 1948 and 1952 Olympic Games, before he died in 2014.
