NEW DELHI: South Africa defeated an emotionally spent Afghanistan by nine wickets at Tarouba, Trinidad, to advance to their first-ever T20 World Cup final. They did this by casting aside their agonizing semifinal jinx with a masterful display of pace bowling.
The Afghans will walk home with their heads held high following an inspiring run in the tournament. South Africa will face the winners of the second semifinal between India and England for the championship.
