Australia has beaten South Africa by six wickets in Gqeberha to sew up a place in the last four at the Women's T20 World Cup, thanks to a brilliant half-century by all-rounder Tahlia McGrath.
The defending champions had to go without opener Alyssa Healy, who was ruled out before the game with quad soreness.
The Australians restricted the host nation to 6-124 off 20 overs at St George's Park, with Georgia Wareham taking 2-18 after the South African side got off to a strong start, with Tazmin Brits and Laura Wolvaardt putting together a 58-run opening partnership.
The total proved to be not enough, despite South Africa sending Ellyse Perry, Meg Lanning and Beth Mooney back to the pavilion in the first seven overs.
Australia was 3-40 when McGrath joined Ashleigh Gardner at the crease, and the pair put on an 81-run partnership to all but see the team home.
McGrath smashed 10 powerful fours, including a shot through the covers to bring up her 50 off just 29 balls.
She was out for 57 off 33, but by then Australia needed just four for victory and Grace Harris secured the runs with a boundary off her first ball faced.
Australia finished the group stage with four wins from four matches.
The second semi-final spot in Group 1 is between Sri Lanka, South Africa and New Zealand, with Sri Lanka favourites having won two games compared to their rivals' one ahead of the final round of matches.
