Sylvester Stallone was let off the leash in a tattoo parlour, which has led to claims his marriage could be a bit rocky.
Stallone, 76, had a giant tattoo of wife Jennifer Flavin, 54, on his right bicep but has covered it up with a picture of a dog this month.
In turn his wife is no longer following him on Instagram and posted a photo with their three daughters, saying: “These girls are my priority. Nothing else matters. The 4 of us forever.”
Stallone’s publicist insists there are no problems between the couple and it is a misunderstanding.
They say a plan to refresh his wife’s portrait was botched, leading him to cover it up with an inking of Butkus, the bull mastiff belonging to Rocky in the hit franchise.
A representative said: “Mr Stallone intended to refresh the tattoo image of his wife, however, the results were unsatisfactory and unfixable. He had to cover the image with a tattoo of his dog from Rocky, Butkus.
“Mr Stallone loves his family. The Stallones are presently filming a reality show together which will debut on Paramount+.”
Jennifer, who has Sophia, 25, Sistine, 24, and Scarlet, 20, with Sly, has not featured him on social media for a number of weeks.
The couple tied the knot in May, 1997 at London’s Dorchester Hotel. They marked their 25th anniversary this year, and Sly hailed his wife as an “incredible and selfless” woman.
Jennifer added: “Our marriage keeps getting better every year! I can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together!”
