A Sydney primary school teacher accused of molesting children has been banned from leaving home without his parents.
The teacher at a public school in Sydney's southern suburbs has been charged with two counts of intentionally sexually touching a child and one count of common assault.
The man was arrested at his home in early August before being taken to Bankstown Police Station where he was charged.
He was released on bail under strict conditions, including an all-day curfew in which he cannot leave his home without being accompanied by his parents.
He also cannot own more than one phone, contact anyone at the school or enter its suburb.
The Department of Education could not clarify any details of the allegations but said "staff and students were being supported".
"The employee is not currently working in schools and the department will continue to work with NSW police," a spokesperson said.
"Given the matter is currently before the courts, it would be inappropriate to comment further at this time."
The accused is due to appear in Sutherland Local Court on October 6.
