The actress flew her grandmothers to Europe for the first time to be extras in the movie, fulfilling her Grandy's dream of visiting Italy. They were cast as 'little old nuns' residing in the same Italian convent as Sweeney's character, Cecila.
During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Sweeney revealed that one of her grandmothers was captured in a photo on set, dressed in a nun costume and enjoying a cigarette break. The actress fondly described her grandmother as 'iconic' and praised her for looking amazing in the nun attire.
