No safety inspections were carried out for years at a Swiss ski resort bar at the centre of the devastating New Years fire that killed 40 people, the local mayor has admitted.
Most of the victims of the blaze that tore through Le Constellation bar in Crans-Montana in the early hours of January 1 were teenagers and young people, with the youngest understood to be a Swiss girl and a French boy, both 14.
