Swindon accountancy firms, PPS Chartered Accountants and Roger C Bloomer Chartered Accountants, have completed a merger.
The companies said the agreement would bring together two of the “most established” firms in the area. PPS was set up in 1992 while Roger C Bloomer has been running for more than 40 years.
Both firms said the transaction, financial details of which were not disclosed, had gone through “smoothly and seamlessly”. The new joint business will be based on Devizes Road in the town and will operate under the PPS name.

PPS co-founder Paul Papworth Smith said: “It is an absolute honour to commence work with Roger C Bloomer Chartered Accountants; Roger and his team will complement the level of expertise that we have at PPS.”
Roger C Bloomer Chartered Accountants’ eponymous owner was admitted as an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales in 1981, and was made a fellow of the organisation in 1992.
Mr Bloomer said: “The decision was a surprisingly easy one and I am delighted to be joining PPS Chartered Accountants, as not only do they have a similar philosophy to that of my firm, but this will also enable us to continue to give great support to our clients.”
