Beaches in eight counties pose a pollution health risk after sewage was discharged into the sea following heavy rain.

Surfers Against Sewage has reported storm discharge has blighted waters in Sussex, Cornwall, Devon, Essex, Lancashire, Lincolnshire, Northumberland and Cumbria.
