Taylor Swift fans hoping to get a Ticket for her upcoming Aviva Stadium shows next summer might have a helping hand thanks to one dedicated fan online.
Ticketmaster Ireland has confirmed that tickets for the Anti-Hero singer’s shows will not be going on general sale, instead fans were asked to register in advance if they wanted a chance of buying tickets, with a limited number of fans getting an access code to the sale for tickets. But even with a code, getting a ticket could be difficult.
Thankfully, one Swiftie has posted a helpful thread on Twitter outlining the steps he took which managed to get him a ticket for a Taylor Swift show.

Samuel Godwin opened his thread by explaining the below eight steps were his advice “for anyone trying to get Taylor Swift Eras Tour tickets in the UK” adding that this was based on his own experience with Ticketmaster.
He then proceeded to list out the steps, such as signing into your account before the sale goes live, refreshing your browser to land yourself in the waiting room and then employing a bit of patience once you are in the queue.
However, Godwin stressed that this might not work for everyone, but added that he did do these steps twice, once for two of the pop sensation's shows and it worked on both occasions.
Below are the eight steps that Godwin posted to his Twitter account:
- Just use one browser and one tab and sign into your Ticketmaster account beforehand.
- About 20-30 mins before the on-sale time refresh your browser and you should be redirected to the landing page for the waiting room.
- Click the join waiting room button once and wait. It might take a couple of minutes to load but be patient.
- Once in the waiting room don’t refresh the page, just let Ticketmaster do its thing.
- Same thing applies for when you have finally joined the queue, just be patient and don't refresh the page as tempting as it may be.
- Once it is your turn then you will be redirected to the tickets screen, select the type of ticket you want, enter your unique presale code when prompted and select the number of tickets you require, once done click the find tickets button.
- You should then be given the quantity of tickets you requested (Max four) for a specific section based on ticket type & depending on availability. If available, select them and then you will have about three minutes to make payment.
- So long as you are logged into your Ticketmaster account and have a payment method saved then you should be fine. Key thing is to be patient, part of the game is luck but mostly it’s patience. Good luck to anyone trying.
He added: "I done a test this morning during the Wembley presale and managed to get into the queue at around the same position as yesterday (12,500 ish) using the steps mentioned previously.
"As a result, I got through to the ticket selection screen and could have purchased available tickets."
If you are planning on heading to Taylor Swift next year and managed to get a code, general sale tickets for Dublin will go on sale on Thursday, July 20 and fans with a pre-sale code will be able to get tickets on July 14.
