A sweet dog who is obsessed with watching sunsets has gone viral online and fans are comparing him to Simba in The Lion King. Franki the two-year-old bulldog will often sit on the sofa and look out to the distance deep in his thoughts. On a recent trip with his owner, the peaceful pup made a tradition of watching the sun go down each day.
Franki can be seen sitting incredibly still as the golden sunset hits the skyline of Brooklyn, New York. Text overlaid on the TikTok video reads: "Franki would sit and watch the sunset every night when he lived in Brooklyn. What was he thinking about? Do dogs have thoughts like we do? Do they enjoy moments of peace like us?"
The adorable clip on @frankithebully has racked up more than 280,000 views with dog lovers smitten by Franki's "old soul".
"He was having a main character moment," one comment reads, while another person said: "He's living his best life."
"He's enjoying the little things that make this life so beautiful," a third commented.
Fellow pet owners shared similar experiences with their own dogs, and tried to guess what Franki might be thinking about.
"Thankful he has a loving family, warm home with a billion dollar view, food, just some reflection," someone predicted.
TikTokers have compared the serene moment to a scene in The Lion King and quoted Simba.
"Everything the light touches is my kingdom," one Disney fan said, racking up lots of likes, with another calling him "the king".
Another viral TikTok of a dog watching the sunset with his owner has sent people to tears.
In the adorable clip, a man can be seen cuddling his pup while they watched the sun go down together.
The dog's tail wags from side to side as his owner pulls him in close.
The spectator captioned the video: "Do you want to see the cutest thing I've ever seen in my entire life? I can't."
She repeats the word "crying" before panning the camera around to show the man sharing a "precious moment" with his pet as they calmly sit on a bench overlooking a beach.
One user said: "I could only wish that if this were me and my dog that someone would capture it for me. Beautiful video."
