Jonas Andersson enjoys buying and testing out camping gear from Temu.
In Stockholm’s northeast, Swedish camper Jonas Andersson unrolls an inflatable tent from global marketplace Temu, setting it up in minutes.
“The speed and ease of setup has really convinced me this is the future of camping,” said the 50-year-old IT architect, who enjoys reviewing new camping gear for his following on YouTube.
Since discovering Temu, he’s been able to test everything from sleeping bags to rechargeable saws. The Swedish army veteran, who once spent a year camping in the Arctic forest, said he was impressed by how far camping gear has come in terms of affordability and user-friendliness.
“Temu allows me to try new gear and different camping styles to grow my audience,” said Jonas. “It’s also made my hobby affordable and accessible.”

Jonas sets up the tent that he bought from Temu within minutes.
Camping is a popular activity in Sweden, with more than 75,000 pitches nationwide and broad freedom to pitch tents in nature.
The affordable equipment and wide variety available on Temu has also made it easier for Jonas to hit the trails, which he now does monthly instead of just a few times a year.
He used to visit a dozen shops to prepare for a trip. But with Temu he can find what he needs in one place, and the items he says are usually priced five to ten times lower.
“It’s not just about testing gear. It’s about showing that outdoor life is possible, affordable, and rewarding for everyone,” he said.
