Sweden's domestic security agency, SAPO, is currently investigating a potential act of terrorism after a dangerous object was discovered at the Israeli Embassy in Stockholm. The incident occurred earlier this week, and SAPO has taken over the investigation from Stockholm police.
Details about the object have not been disclosed by the police, but some Swedish media outlets have referred to it as a hand grenade. The object was found near the fence of the embassy, which is situated in the eastern part of Stockholm. As soon as embassy staff spotted the potentially dangerous item, they promptly alerted the authorities.
