SWEDEN boss Janne Andersson has insisted Carl Starfelt's international injury scare has created a "problematic situation".
The Celtic centre-back was forced off before half-time in the 2-0 win over Slovenia last night.
Starfelt, 27, was handed a start in the Nations League fixture but was stretchered off into additional time.
The defender appeared to suffer a hamstring knock and was withdrawn before half-time with his side one goal to the good.
Sweden went on to win 2-0 with Emil Forsberg and Dejan Kulusevski netting.
However, Sweden boss Andersson took time in his press duties to mention Starfelt and his centre-back scenario after the injury.
Andersson explained: "It is a problematic situation. He is a very important part of the team.
"Even he does not have experience, you want a centre back you are used to."
It was not confirmed how serious Starfelt's injury is but it would be little surprise if he missed out on the Nations League fixtures against Norway and Serbia this month.
