Swansea's popular Street Food Festival is returning after two years

A popular Swansea three-day street food festival is returning after being away for two years due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Swansea Street Food Festival officially returns to Museum Park from April 15 to 17, promising to serve up a vast array of offerings from independent street food traders.

Taking place from 11am until 11pm daily, it will be free to attend, but you must get a ticket before attending. It will be a cashless event, meaning you can only pay for goods by card.

The full lineup of vendors is yet to be revealed, but announced so far are Birmingham's The Grub Shed, known for their loaded fries, Flying Cows, winner of Britain's best street food burger in 2019, and Gower Doughnut Co.

The sponsor for this year's event will be Freedom Brewery, which will be serving up its array of beers throughout the weekend.

A statement from the organisers read: "Street Food Warehouse are delighted to relaunch Swansea Street Food Festival after a two-year hiatus due to the virus that must not be named. The festival returns to Museum Park from April 15 to 17 for a weekend of street food, drinks and (hopefully) sunshine. The event is free to attend, but you must get your ticket beforehand.

"Freedom Brewery will be on hand fully loaded with refreshing beers to serve all weekend long. Cooking up a storm from Friday, April 15 to Sunday April 17, the festival offers a range of delicious street food to tingle your taste buds. From pizza to burgers, Moroccan to Mexican, vegan to veggie, sweet to savoury, we've got it all.

"The festival will be full of amazing, independent street food traders. Birmingham's The Grub Shed with their epic loaded fries, Britain's best street food burger 2019 winner Flying Cows and local legends the Gower Doughnut Co are just some of the street food vendors that will be attending the weekend. Many more both local and national vendors will soon be announced."
