Swansea's AU Vodka pay Jake Paul $250k to get tattoo ahead of Tommy Fury fight

Jake Paul has had a bottle of a Welsh vodka brand tattooed on his arm just days before his big fight against Tommy Fury, and was paid $250,000 for the privilege.

The 26-year-old YouTube influencer who's enjoyed a second career as a boxer was challenged by DJ Charlie Sloth to get the bottle tattooed. In a video posted on the vodka company's social media profiles, Sloth tells Paul: "I'm gonna give you $250,000 cash if you get a tattoo of Au Blue Raspberry on your arm."

He then presents a suitcase of cash, saying he was a "man of his word", and the video shows Paul calling it "easy money bro", sampling the vodka, and sitting down for his tattoo. Paul also tries the vodka, and says: "I'll drink this s**t after I knock out Tommy."

He adds: "I would've done this for free, because I love you so much," but jokingly refuses to give the money back. The final tattoo runs the length of Paul's bicep and shows a thin black outline of the bottle, with the vodka brand's logo front and centre.

The vodka promo will be at the forefront in Paul's upcoming fight against Tommy Fury on Sunday, February 26. After starting his career on Vine and YouTube, he starred in Disney series Bizaardvark and then took his career into the ring. The fight against former Love Islander Tommy Fury, half-brother of Tyson Fury, in Saudi Arabia will be the seventh professional fight of his career.

His own brother Logan Paul tried his hand at boxing too, but lost his only fight to KSI, then turning to professional wrestling and creating viral energy drink Prime with his former competitor.

Au Vodka has a fascinating history. Two pals from Swansea, Charlie Morgan and Jackson Quinn, started selling it in 2016 - and after gaining a local reputation, the brand went worldwide. Charlie Sloth - the DJ who issued the challenge to Jake Paul - has since become a business partner after he was impressed with a free bottle of the drink that the brothers sent him.

The brand has become a big local employer, has had huge sponsorship deals in Ibiza and has landed the two brothers a spot on the Times Young Rich List. You can read more about their incredible rise to stardom here.
