Gould joins new club
Released Swans keeper Josh Gould has joined a new club.
Former under-23s man Gould has linked up with Swindon Supermarine after getting FAW clearance. He made his debut for the Southern League Premier Division South club on Saturday against Tiverton, a match which Lee Spalding's side won 3-1.
Gould was one of 18 players released by Swansea in June, with three other keepers - Ben Hamer, Jamie Searle and Nico Defreitas-Hansen - also leaving the club.
Pato sees specialist again
Swansea assistant Matt Gill has revealed Jamie Paterson has seen a specialist for the second time as he bids to return to full fitness.
The attacking midfielder has been dogged by injury so far this season, having made only five appearances this term. He hasn't kicked a ball in anger since the defeat to Sheffield United last month, and Gill has now given an update on his condition, stating progress is being made.
He said: "Jamie Paterson is working hard, as the gaffer mentioned in his last press conference, he has been back for a second appointment with a specialist, which went well.
"So hopefully we will have him back on the pitch soon because he was so good for us last season, and we are desperate to have him back with the rest of the squad."
Elsewhere, Gill said Joe Allen won't play against the Royals while Ryan Manning will be monitored.
"We will assess everyone, it’s too early to tell because it’s Monday morning and we are just back in," Gill added.
"We will check on Ryan Manning, but it will be too soon for Joe, but other than that I think we came through unscathed."
Joseph at the double
Karl Robinson has heaped praise on Swans loanee Kyle Joseph after the striker’s double helped Oxford United all three points at Exeter City.
United stormed into a 3-0 lead at half-time thanks to strikes from Cameron Brannagan, Sam Long and Joseph.
The Swansea City loanee added his second of the afternoon shortly after the break, before the hosts pulled back two goals.
It was, on the whole, a highly convincing performance, and Robinson was particularly impressed by the contributions of Joseph.
Robinson told the Oxford Mail : “He’s outstanding, his work ethic is incredible and he gives you everything every single time he puts the shirt on.
“Yes, he makes mistakes and he’s a little bit erratic at times. His first goal is something me and him have spoken about.
“There’s different ways of finishing, sometimes he waits too long and people get blocks off.
“The beauty about today was that he took things quick and that was pleasing."
Fundraiser rakes in cash
A Q&A fundraiser with Swansea legend Alan Curtis in memory of Lenny Johnrose has raked in an incredible £3,500.
Curtis took part in a star-studded event to raise vital funds for the club's Former Players' Association and the south Wales branch of the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
The event, which took place at Morgans on Sunday night, was attended by Lee Trundle, Kristian O'Leary and Kev Johns.
The football world was left devastated by the news that Johnrose passed away at the age of 52 in August. The former Swan had been battling with motor neurone disease but tragically lost the fight for his life just five years after being diagnosed with the rare condition - which severely impacts the brain and nerves.

Phillips praises character
Swansea City Ladies head coach Ceri Phillips was full of praise for his side's 3-1 win over The New Saints Women at the weekend.
Nia Rees and Emma Beynon both found the net for the Swans before TNS hit back from the spot via Beth Lewis. But Katy Hosford put the gloss on the afternoon in the second half with a shot from range.
“It’s a long journey here and it could have been an even longer journey home so it was very important to get the win,” said Phillips.
“There are plenty of things that we could have done slightly better, but it was a big battle in the second half and I think the girls showed a different side to them that helped them win that battle, get the ball and get control of the game back.
“The start of games has been a bit frantic and a bit slow to start, but we came firing out of the blocks today, and with the long journey you would almost understand a bit of complacency.
“Two early goals settled it really and then the penalty put the bit between their teeth, but we battled really well in that second half.
“I don’t really recall them getting in behind us too much but they did have a lot of possession, we defended resiliently and it was a good team effort out of possession and it was nice to get that late goal and secure three points.
“We have a couple of injuries in the attacking positions at the minute so Emma came in and did a fantastic job for us today. Right from the start she was outstanding today.”
