Cannon outlines stance on future
Everton striker Tom Cannon has suggested he would like to stay at the club next season, amid links with a move to Swansea City.
Cannon has just come out of a largely successful six-month loan spell at Championship side Preston North End, where he scored eight goals and registered one assist in 21 appearances in all competitions.

North End boss Ryan Lowe has already stated he would like to be bring the 20-year-old back to Deepdale next term, but reports elsewhere have suggested they could face competition for his signature.
According to The Sun, Cannon is attracting admiration from the Swans and Blackburn Rovers. However, the player himself is seemingly keen on featuring in the club's first team plans.
"I want to come back for pre-season, impress the manager and hopefully show him what I can do, and then get myself in the squad," Cannon told the club's official website.
"Scoring goals with the under-21s is different from men’s football. Now I’ve gone out to the Championship and scored, hopefully the manager has seen that.
"It’s my aim to score in front of the crowd at Goodison. There’s nothing more that I want to do. I’ve gone out on loan and scored at Deepdale. But I know it would be a different buzz scoring at Goodison Park in front of 40,000.
"I’m looking forward to that and I will try as hard as I can do that."
Carvalhal 'in talks' with Leeds
Former Swansea City boss Carlos Carvalhal is reportedly in discussions over the vacancy at Leeds United.
Carvalhal is out of work having left his latest role as boss of Spanish top flight side Celta Vigo.
According to Esporte, Leeds have now approached the Portuguese coach about the role at Elland Road, which has been vacant since Sam Allardyce's short-term deal expired at the end of the season.
The 57-year-old posted a goodbye message to his latest club, saying: "Many years ago, I often travelled to Balaidos from Braga, and I learned to admire the club and supporters that I've now had the pride of representing.
"It's been a true privilege for me, and I have nothing but words of thanks for the club's president, Carlos Mourino, Luis Campos and all of the staff at Celta Vigo. I also want to thank the coaching staff and my players for battling spirit they showed to achieve the objective. I thank the fans too for the warmth they showed me right from day one and their unconditional support for the team. As I say goodbye, I feel proud that the club remains where it deserves to be: Primera Division in its centenary year.
"From today there'll be another Celtista in the stands. I'll be back. Grazas!"
Spurs want Davies
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ready to rival Swansea City for highly-rated coach Chris Davies.
The 38-year-old is understood to be a leading contender to succeed Russell Martin at the Swansea.com Stadium, but seemingly has an admirer in new Spurs coach Ange Postecoglou.
According to the Daily Telegraph, Postecoglou is keen on bringing assistants John Kennedy and Gavin Strachan with him to north London next season, although the Scottish champions are reluctant to lose the pair.
That has seemingly seen Spurs consider other options, including Davies.
The Welshman has previously indicated his eagerness to become a manager in his own right after serving as a right-hand man for much of his career - and Swansea may be hoping those ambitions give them the trump card in any potential tug-of-war.
The Swans are certainly unlikely to be able to match the financial terms on offer at Spurs, or indeed Celtic, who could yet come calling were Brendan Rodgers to seal a return.
