Garrick issues apology
Jordon Garrick issued an apology to Plymouth Argyle fans after the Pilgrims missed out on the League One play-offs on the final day of the campaign.
The Home Park outfit have been serious contenders for promotion throughout the campaign but a poor run towards the end of the campaign along with a 5-0 loss to MK Dons on the final day saw them miss out on the top six. Garrick has been a key figure for Plymouth throughout the season, scoring seven goals in 50 appearances in all competitions for the club.
But after their final day heartache, the Swansea attacker took to social media to thank all at Plymouth for their support during the course of the 2021/22 campaign.
"Aaah don’t even know where to start with this one, firstly just want to apologise for today not the way you great fans deserved to end the season too, but as always thank you for the support not just today but through the whole season," he wrote on Twitter.
"I want to say thank you personally for the love, support, and positivity you’ve shown me since I came to the club, if it is my last game in green or not I wish @only1argyle the very best the staff, the players, fans you have something special! Nothing but love always!"
Garrick's Swansea contract expires in the summer of 2023.

Martin's hope for starlet
Russell Martin admits Swansea are "excited" about academy product Cameron Congreve.
The Welshman made his Swans debut earlier this year while he was handed his first senior start at Nottingham Forest on Saturday. It represents an impressive rise for the 18-year-old who is still one of the younger members in the club's Under-23 set-up.
“Cameron deserved to play, he has trained fantastically well with us over the last few months,” the head coach told the Swansea website. “We have worked with him for a while now, and we had Olivier Ntcham and Jamie Paterson not quite fit enough to start.
“We could have played some guys who we know more about, but we wanted to learn more about Cameron and I thought he was great.
“He was really good, he showed some good touches and some real maturity. He has confidence and he is a great player on the ball and he can make things happen because he is a good technician and we love his mentality.
“He is one we are excited about and someone we want to develop with.”

Loan stars to exit, but Cooper hope remains
Swansea will hold future talks with their out-on-loan players ahead of the summer transfer window.
Several players including Steven Benda, Liam Cullen, Morgan Whittaker, Jordon Garrick, Ollie Cooper and Liam Walsh have been sent away from Swansea to get game time elsewhere. Garrick is due back at Swansea having completed the season with Plymouth while other players are set to be given time off imminently once their involvement with their loan clubs comes to an end this month.
And Russell Martin has revealed Ollie Cooper - currently at Newport County - could well be involved with Swansea's first team next season, although others are likely to move on.
"Ollie's a real possibility," said Martin when asked by WalesOnline if any loan men could play a part for the Swans next term. "The rest we'll have to see. We'll sit down with them when they're done. We've stayed in touch with them.
"We can discuss it. I expect there'll be a few who want to kick-start their careers and play elsewhere because they don't fit the long-term vision of the team or have a position that is ideally suited to theirs.
"We'll just have to wait and see." Dan Williams and Lewis Webb are set to spend the remainder of 2022 on loan with Dundalk and Shelbourne respectively.
