Swansea City have confirmed their squad numbers for the 2022/23 season.
As revealed by WalesOnline earlier this month, Joe Allen has been handed the iconic number seven jersey previously worn by Swans legends including Alan Curtis and Leon Britton. "I actually saw Britts the night before I signed and spoke to him about wearing that number," revealed Allen.
"He gave me his full backing, which was great, because he was a huge mentor for me. He is one of the idols I’ve had in my career, so it is a nice touch. It’s also a number I’ve worn for Wales, so there is a double connection and I’m looking forward to wearing it."

The Welshman's fellow summer signings Matty Sorinola, Harry Darling and Nathan Wood will wear the number 29, six and 23 shirts respectively.
Goalkeeper Andy Fisher has been handed the number one shirt following the departure of Ben Hamer - who has since joined Championship rivals Watford.
Morgan Whittaker has not been allocated a number following his loan switch to Plymouth Argyle while defender Ryan Bennett - who has been told he can leave the club this summer - is also without a number.
