Swansea City ratings vs Huddersfield Town as star passes the ball for fun and sub puts hosts on edge

STEVEN BENDA 7

As quiet a first half as he could have wished for and was composed in possession. Terrific save to deny Danny Ward at the death and a clean sheet to boot.

NATHAN WOOD 7

Did his defensive duties, what little he had of them, well and was good on the ball. Always urged to more up the pitch by the coaches, such was Swansea's control.

HARRY DARLING 7

Won numerous aerial duels and was very slick in possession. Important in both boxes, in fairness. Withdrawn.

BEN CABANGO 7

Fresh from his Wales World Cup call-up, Cabango generally did well against his international team-mate Sorba Thomas.

JOEL LATIBEAUDIERE 7

Did so well to pick out Olivier Ntcham and had a header saved in a positive first-half showing. Taken off in the second half.

JAY FULTON 7

Passed the ball for fun and unlucky not to truly test Lee Nicholls with a first-half header.

MATT GRIMES 7

As ever, the captain saw plenty of the ball and was the most likely to create anything in the first half.

RYAN MANNING 7

Some good deliveries from set-pieces and was always an outlet on the left flank. Tested Nicholls with a shot from wide in an encouraging performance.

OLLIE COOPER 7

Following his call-up to Wales' World Cup standby list, the attacker helped keep Swansea in possession but couldn't have the killer impact in the final third.

OLIVIER NTCHAM 7

Continued his impressive form with some bright moments in attack. Had a shot blocked in the first half and was generally involved when Swansea caused Huddersfield problems.

JOEL PIROE 6

Tested Lee Nicholls with a shot from distance early on and was unselfish as he linked up play well throughout, despite getting very little sight of goal. Subbed on the hour mark.

Michael Obafemi (for Piroe) - The forward made some brilliant runs up the pitch and had Huddersfield's defence on edge with his pace. Struck the post with a fine effort. 7

Kyle Naughton (for Darling) - Good on the ball as Swansea pushed. 6

Armstrong Oko-Flex (for Cooper) - Was very direct but couldn't have the all-important impact in dangerous areas. 6

Luke Cundle (for Ntcham) - Got into good spaces and played a part in Obafemi's big chance. 6

Jamie Paterson (for Latibeaudiere) - Some good delivers from corners late on. 6
