Here's your round-up of all the latest Swansea City news for Sunday, October 9.
Cooper hails key improvement after Sunderland win
Swansea City star Ollie Cooper says improved game management has been a key driver in their recent run of good form.
The Swans eased to their fourth consecutive league win after edging past Sunderland in 2-1 win at the Swasnea.com Stadium on Saturday.
After a comfortable first half, the Swans were forced to hold off a spirited Sunderland performance after the break to claim all three points.
Cooper, who scored the first of Swansea's two goals, said: “I think we’re a young group and I feel like game management is something we’ve definitely improved.
“You can see that in the last couple of games. Not only have we won them, we’ve scored goals late so hopefully, we’ve turned a corner.
“To get a win is what we needed originally, and then we just take it game by game but to go into a game on the back of five wins in six is incredible. You just go into games with confidence in yourself and in the team.
“The fans are massive in every game we play, they create an amazing atmosphere and that really helps you on the pitch.
“We need to keep this going for as long as possible.”
Darling not taking place for granted
Harry Darling says competition for places has helped get the best out of Russell Martin's squad this season.
Darling was back in the starting line-up for the first time in five games, and produced a highly accomplished performance, capped off with a goal.
“I knew I needed to put in a good performance because I’ve been out for a few weeks and everyone’s been brilliant in defence, so I knew I needed to put a good performance together and I’m just happy to be back in the team,” he said.
“I said to myself that I needed to get a few goals this season, so it was nice to get one on my return to the side.
“The boys that have been playing have been brilliant, and we’ve been winning at the end of the day.
“I’ve just kept my head down, looked to train well, and I needed to step in and do my job and hopefully everyone thinks I’ve done that.”
Davies hails great week
Swansea City Under-18s' coach Darren Davies was pleased to see his young side round off a good week with an impressive 4-2 win over Exeter City at Landore.
A Geoff Bony double and an Iwan Morgan strike saw the young Swans race into a 3-0 lead going into the interval, with the young Grecians pulling two goals back through Mitch Beardmore and George Spencer in the second half.
But Rohan Davies netted the home side's fourth goal in between those strikes to seal the win for the hosts.
"It's been a good working week, we've shown the lads good video, good content and we've had some good training sessions. It's nice for the boys to get the win at the end of a good working week," he said.
