Swansea City legend Alan Curtis will headline a Q&A this month as part of a fund-raiser in memory of Lenny Johnrose.
The football world was left devastated by the news that Johnrose passed away at the age of 52 in August. The former Swan had been battling with motor neurone disease but tragically lost the fight for his life just five years after being diagnosed with the rare condition - which severely impacts the brain and nerves.
A statement from the MND Association read: "We're saddened to hear of the death of Len Johnrose. In 2018 former footballer, Len, bravely shared his MND diagnosis to raise awareness.
"He went on to raise thousands with his #IceFoot92 Challenge. Our thoughts are with Len's wife Nadine, his three children, family and friends."
Tributes were paid to Johnrose ahead of Swansea's Championship clash with Millwall while the defensive midfielder's other former clubs including Burnley and Hartlepool United were among those to pay their respects to the ever-smiling footballer.
And Swans icon Curtis will take part in a star-studded event which aims to raise vital funds for the club's Former Players' Association and the south Wales branch of the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
The 68-year-old will answer questions from fans as part of the event - in collaboration with ATFV - which takes place at Morgans Hotel in Swansea on Sunday, October 16.
Leon Britton, Lee Trundle and Kris O’Leary will also attend the event - which will be hosted by Kev Johns. As part of the evening's entertainment, young magician Charles Anthony and local singer Gareth Lewis will both perform for the sold-out crowd.
A raffle will also be held to raise funds for the two charities, with fans able to bid to win items such as Curt branded mugs and a retro Swansea shirt. Further information is available on the ATFV website. Fans can donate to the fundraiser here.
