Swansea City Ladies have announced they will be switching from white to black shorts to try and prevent players' period concerns during games.
Wearing white while on a period is an issue which has been highlighted by women across all sports, with some kits — predominantly designed for men in the first instance — now changing as a result. West Brom Women recently made the change from white to navy shorts this month.
Swansea City Ladies will next line up against Aberystwyth on Sunday in the Adran Premier, Wales' top domestic women's football competition, after their kit change was supported by the club and with permission from the Football Association of Wales. The Swans say they are the first club in their league to switch from white to dark shorts for this reason.
