The Wales Airshow has grown in popularity from 75,000 visitors in its launch year in 2009 to an audience of about 250,000. The event, organised by Swansea Council, last took place in 2019 before the pandemic caused the cancellation.
The RAF Typhoon Team has regularly been participating in the airshow for several years but this year has disappeared from the line-up. The reason for this is they are already booked for another International Airshow elsewhere in Portugal.
The Beja International Airshow which runs on the same weekend, July 2-3, will play host to the RAF Typhoon Team in a similar show. It is not yet known if the Typhoon Team will return to future Wales Airshows.
