Swansea Airshow 2022: The timings for Sunday, July 3

The Wales Airshow is returning to Swansea for 2022 after the annual two-day event was cancelled both in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic. Those heading to the attraction, which sees thousands of people flock to the Swansea seafront each year, are in for a treat with many aircraft and display teams confirmed for this year's event.

Among those taking to the skies this year are the world-famous Red Arrows, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and the hugely popular aerobatics team, Team Raven. You can read more about what to expect at the Swansea Airshow here.

The attraction, which last took place in 2019 and saw over 250,000 people attend, is Wales' biggest free family event. As such, careful planning needs to take place, with many road closures announced over the weekend. You can read more about those here.

The airshow site will open at 10am and close at 6.30pm both days. Timetables of displays have now been confirmed, but are subject to change due to weather conditions, military operational needs and other factors.

Swansea Airshow timings for Sunday, July 3

While there'll be plenty happening on the ground all day, including displays, food and drink trucks, live music, demonstrations, family activities, rides and more, the displays in the sky will kick off on Sunday with the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, which will open the show at 13:40.

The performance will be followed by the Tigers Army Parachute Display Team at 14:00. Strikemaster, Catalina and Aerosuperbatics WingWalkers will go next before a scheduled hour-long break between 15:00 and 16:00.

When the displays return they will kick off with Team Raven at 16:00. Team Raven is a "formation aerobatic display team" that was formed in May, 2014, you can read more about them here.

Norwegian MiG will then take to the skies at 16:16, followed by the RAF Tutor at 16:28, Mustang and Spitfire at 16:36 and Firebirds at 16:56. Next up is RAF Chinook at 17:10 and Royal Navy Black Cats at 17:26.

The weekend will end with a spectacular display from the RAF Red Arrows between 18:00 and 18:22. You can read more about them here.

As stated above, however, all display times are subject to change due to factors such as the weather.
