Swansea Airshow 2022: The timings for Saturday, July 2

Thousands of people are expected to attend the Wales Airshow in Swansea this weekend. The spectacular attraction, which is Wales' biggest free family event, is returning after a two-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

It was last held in 2019 and saw over 250,000 people flock to Swansea to see the magnificent displays in the sky. Among the aircrafts taking part this year are the world-famous Red Arrows, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and the hugely popular aerobatics team, Team Raven. While we've already confirmed what time the Red Arrows will be taking to the skies, you can read more on that here, many will be wondering what the running order and display times are if they're attending the event on Saturday, July 2.

The airshow site will open at 10am and close at 6.30pm both days. Timetables of displays have now been confirmed, but are subject to change due to weather conditions, military operational needs and other factors.

Swansea Airshow timings for Saturday, July 2

While there'll be plenty happening on the ground all day, including displays, food and drink trucks, live music, demonstrations, family activities, rides and more, the displays in the sky will kick off with Team Raven at 12:55 on Saturday. Team Raven is a "formation aerobatic display team" that was formed in May, 2014, you can read more about them here.

They will be followed by Mustang and Spitfire at 13:12, the Norwegian MiG at 13:32 and the RAF Red Arrows, who are scheduled take to the skies between 13.50 - 14:12.

There will then be a 45-minute break between 14:15 and 15:00 before the Tigers Army Parachute Display Team perform. They will be followed by the Royal Navy Black Cats at 15:19, the Firebirds at 15:31, and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, which is planned to take to the skies between 15:45 - 16:03.

The afternoon is pretty jam-packed with RAF Tutor, Catalina, Aerosuperbatics WingWalkers and RAF Chinook all performing in the final hour, before Strikemaster closes the show between 16:59 - 17:09.
