Swan dons police uniform after being rescued from Attenborough road

A swan was rescued by a police officer after being spotted wandering along a Nottinghamshire road. The animal was saved after members of the public reported seeing it walk down Long Lane, Attenborough on May 12.

In a Facebook post, Broxtowe South Police, said: "It was time for Beeston PCSO Jones to swan into action following a call from a member of the public concerning a swan wandering around along the main road on Long Lane in Attenborough today.

"PCSO Jones was caught swanning about and managed to secure the swan and bring it to safety.

"It was a no comment interview with the swan and he was placed into the van and reunited with his friends….. well done to PCSO Jones for your rescue efforts."

The swan was pictured wearing police uniform as it was rescued by PCSO Jones. The bird was placed in a police van and then released back into safety.
