Suzuki Please Bring This Unbelievably Cool DR-Z Livery to Us Amid Sales Decline

Does Suzuki not care that much about the US market? I ask only because it's lagging behind all its competitors in terms of sales here. In 2025, the Japanese brand's sales dropped by 15.6% compared to the previous year, and although plenty of motorcycle brands are down on sales in 2025, competitors like Kawasaki aren't, thanks to its stellar entry-level lineup. All this is to say, I can't understand why Suzuki has an unbelievably sick DR-Z livery that it's not bringing to the US, and it's not the first time something like this has happened.

Suzuki gave the cult classic DR-Z400SM a much-needed update last year, turning it into the DR-Z4SM. Unfortunately, the bike wasn't very well received in a segment that's extremely important in determining a brand's overall success in the US, hence the reason Triumph is doubling its presence in the 400cc entry-level segment. Now, Suzuki unveils a stellar new livery, but it's only available in Austria—if you can, please help this make sense to me.

The special livery is called "Crush," and it's a sticker livery, and it's not even a limited-edition deal. Suzuki hasn't set a number and 'once they're gone, they're gone,' but given that there were only 32,061 total motorcycles sold in the country by all brands in 2025, I can't imagine they'll be sticking many kits on DRZ-4SMs.

The optional sticker kit is supposed to resemble a moving "paint splash" and is available as an optional color when selecting your DR-Z4SM online, but it looks like it'll have to come with the standard white plastics as the foundation for the livery. The street art/graffiti style is right on the money for the urban haunts that young riders will spend most of their time. But if Suzuki brought this livery to the US, would you be willing to pay for it?

In Austria, opting for the "Crush" livery will set you back an extra €750 ($890 USD). If all things are equal, considering that the base DR-Z4SM has an MSRP of $8,999 in the USA, a model with the "Crush" livery should set you back around $9,890. The question for new riders in the US: if this livery were available, would you be more enticed to pick up a new DR-Z4SM?
