The SNP’s deputy leader has claimed that suspending Nicola Sturgeon from the party would not be in the interests of “natural justice”.
Keith Brown said other cases when Nationalists had been suspended while allegations around them were being investigated involved “different circumstances”.
Sturgeon became the third figure in the SNP to be arrested and interviewed by detectives on Sunday amid an ongoing investigation into the party’s finances.
