UK Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood has warned that Britain cannot expect its Jewish community to live behind ever-higher security barriers after counter-terrorism police arrested two men over a suspected plot targeting the Jewish community in Manchester.
The Manchester terror arrests came just hours before Yom Kippur began. The two men, both in their 30s, were detained on Newton Street at around 2.45pm on Sunday, 20 September, as part of a long-running Counter Terrorism Policing London investigation.
